Health Groups

Feeling stuck? You don't have to overhaul your life to feel better.

Sometimes the most powerful changes are the smallest ones. A glass of water instead of a fourth coffee. A ten-minute walk. Getting your sleep back on track. Research shows these everyday habits have a real, measurable effect on depression, anxiety, and stress — and doing them alongside other people makes them far easier to stick with.

What is a Health Group?

A 12-week, once-weekly, virtual group that combines medication management with practical, supportive therapy. Each session is 60 minutes. You'll learn one skill at a time, set a goal you actually choose yourself, and come back the next week to talk about how it went — with a group of people working on the same things.

Our next group starts September 8

Sessions are held on Monday afternoons from 4PM to 5PM MST.

12 sessions: September 14th - December 14th

(we will not meet November 3rd)

Sessions will be submitted to your insurance.

All are welcome- you do not have to be an established patient to join.

Cash rate: $450 for all 12 sessions.

What to Expect from Health Groups

Therapy

Every session will include about 20 minutes of evidence-based psychoeducation given by a provider on the topic of focus for the week. You will walk away understanding more about what lifestyle changes are upheld by research, and why these changes are effective and essential for well-being. This information will empower you to create change.

Each session, you will have the opportunity to participate in a therapeutic exercise that will help you create change in your life. Throughout the weeks, a variety of modalities will be presented so that you can expand your tool box.  Together, we will explore your barriers to making lifestyle changes, discuss practical action steps, and create SMART goals.

Community Support

Support Group Meeting

•You're not alone. Hearing that others struggle with the same 9 p.m. scroll, the same skipped workout, the same rough morning is often the most useful part. We will use this sense of community to bring one another up into making change, and step into healthy routines and rhythms together.

Group Content

What we'll work on together

•Sleep — proven techniques used in cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia to help you fall asleep faster and wake up less

•Caffeine and hydration — how much is too much, and how to cut back without the crash

•Movement — finding the kind and amount of activity that lifts mood, starting where you are

•Food and mood — realistic changes, no restrictive diets, no shame

•Stress and connection — mindfulness, managing screen time, and rebuilding social life

•Alcohol, nicotine, and other substances — honest conversation, no judgment

•Your inner conflict — understanding the part of you that wants to change and the part that resists

How it's different

•You set the goals. We use motivational interviewing, which means we help you find your own reasons for change instead of telling you what to do.

•Together, you will have the opportunity to explore your personal reason why life change is so difficult. Then, you will work through therapeutic tools to help you overcome these obstacles.

•Practical, not preachy. Every week ends with one specific, doable step.

•You're not alone. Hearing that others struggle with the same 9 p.m. scroll, the same skipped workout, the same rough morning is often the most useful part.

•Your medications are part of the plan. Your prescriber meets with you individually alongside the group so your treatment works as a whole.
